Spätburgunder is German for Pinot Noir, the most widely planted red grape in Germany. The vines for this wine are grown around Dittelsheim on limey soils. The grapes were picked by hand and fermented for 21 days, then aged for 14 months in oak. Elegant and juicy, the balanced acidity combines with delicate tannins to provide length. Flavours include strawberry, cherry and earthy truffle.
